Short answer: for porcelain tiles for commercial projects in Serbia, the distributor answers a specification instead of selling from a display board. Before an architect or procurement team approves a tile, they expect a data sheet, current samples, test reports that match the finish, and proof that shade will hold across the whole area and later deliveries.
A residential customer picks a tile from a display board. On a hotel, an office block, a retail fit-out or a public building, the architect or procurement team, the specifier, signs off the tile first, and the distributor answers the specification line by line. A distributor who cannot produce the documents, samples and shade promise on request loses the project to one who can.
This guide covers what Serbian distributors supplying pločice za komercijalne projekte (“tiles for commercial projects”) should be ready to put in front of a specifier in 2027: the sizes, finishes, slip ratings, shade control and the document pack. It does not cover ordering dates, which Blog 1 handles.
Specialised Expo 2027 runs in Belgrade from 15 May to 15 August 2027, and projects built to open around it work to fixed handover dates. Our guide to when Serbian distributors should place their 2027 orders covers the timing. This post covers what happens once a specification reaches your desk.
Most commercial specifications ask the distributor for four things:
A residential sale rarely asks for any of these. On a project, one missing document can hold up approval.
Commercial spaces use size to manage joints, wear and visual scale. The table maps common project uses to the sizes Wolf manufactures.

The full collections page shows each of these sizes in detail. For other formats, Export Sales can confirm what Wolf can supply for your project.
Each 20ft container carries one tile size, so a project that specifies three sizes needs a container for each. Settle the size by area before planning the shipments.
For large format porcelain tiles in Serbia, the practical question is handling. Larger slabs need flat substrates, suitable adhesive and installers who have laid them before. A specifier will expect the distributor to know which sizes the local installation teams can handle.
Finish is chosen by area, not by taste. As a working rule:
The distributor’s risk is a finish that changes between orders. If phase one is laid in one matte and phase two arrives slightly different, the specifier will notice. Wolf holds its finish range consistent from order to order. When a distributor reorders the same design and finish later, Wolf can match the finish and, as far as possible, the shade, and later phases can come from the same batch.
A slip rating belongs to a specific product and a specific finish. The same tile design in polished and in matte will test differently, so the certificate a distributor hands over must match the exact finish being shipped and the area it is going into.
This is where commercial specification tiles are often rejected: the data sheet shows one finish and the test report another. Before submitting, check that the size, finish and production reference on every document line up. A specification names the slip classification it requires, so the first step is to ask which one it calls for. Our Croatia compliance checklist sets out the DIN 51130 R-ratings and the test reports to request.
A hotel lobby or office floor can run to thousands of square metres, often delivered in more than one shipment. Shade and calibre must match across all of it, and the paperwork is what proves it. Our Germany compliance checklist explains why batch and shade documentation matters contractually.
Wolf provides a QC report for every design in the order, covering the details of each design, so each design in a container is documented for the specifier.
Need test reports for a Serbian specification? Request a sample pack.
Commercial tile procurement moves faster when the documents arrive together. A complete pack covers five items:
|

|
What it must show
|
Where it fails
|
|---|---|---|
Samples are the slowest item. Wolf’s sample route takes about 15 days from request to samples in hand, depending on your location, so request samples for a Serbian project before the specification arrives, and have physical tiles ready when it does.
Some distributors want a range they can present to specifiers under their own name, so the project relationship stays with them. A project-specific range under your own brand is possible through Wolf’s private label programme, and Export Sales can confirm the minimum order for your range.
Commercial projects rarely take everything at once, and because each 20ft carries one size, a phase that uses three sizes is three containers. Wolf works with distributors to call off stock in 20ft container lots as each phase is ready, loaded at Mundra Port, with one named contact who knows the project.

Commercial projects typically use standard 600×600mm and large format 600×1200mm tiles for corridors, offices and back-of-house areas. Lobbies and public areas often move to 800×1600mm or 1200×1200mm, and feature walls or reception areas use slabs of 1200×1800mm. The final choice depends on the space, substrate and installer.
Wet areas, entrances and commercial kitchens need a higher slip rating than dry interiors such as offices and lobbies. Because a rating applies to one specific finish, the test certificate must match the exact product shipped, not the same tile design in another finish.
Yes, when the substrate is flat and the tiles are laid with suitable adhesive and spacing, which the installer decides. Larger formats also reduce the number of grout joints across a big floor, which keeps the surface visually calm and easier to clean.
Only if the production run and batch records allow it. A distributor should hold batch and shade records for every order from the supplier, and plan the second phase from the same production run where possible. Ordering the full project quantity up front is the most reliable way to keep one shade.
Have samples, a data sheet and test reports ready before the next specification arrives. Tell us the sizes and finishes your project needs and Export Sales will send them.
